Public Works Consulting Engineers, Inc. has the expertise of a 30 year Caltrans veteran with experience at offices of Local Assistance, Project Studies, Highway Design, Traffic Design, and Construction. We work with regional and local public agencies and specialize in program and project management through Caltrans and other regional agencies in southern California.
Our focus is on maximizing the use of federal and state grants and special funds available to local agencies. We provide funding assistance and management, project administration services, construction engineering and inspection services, owner representation, and assisting agencies to apply for different grants at regional agencies such as CTC, SCAG, Caltrans, Metro and VCTC.
Some of the funds we mange include ATP, SB1, CMAQ, ER, HBR, High Priority, HSIP, FTA, STP, and STBG.
Program and Project Management:
- Assist local agencies in applying for federal and state grant applications through Metro and Caltrans
- Prepare environmental documents and processing through Caltrans for federal funds
- Prepare and process Right of Way Certifications through Caltrans
- Prepare and process Requests for Authorization for preliminary engineering, right of way, and construction
- Prepare and process Requests for Allocation for different phases through Metro, Caltrans and CTC
- Represent local agencies at regional agencies
Construction Management:
- Construction inspection
- Prepare and process documents of progress and final invoices through Caltrans
